As a wedding/event coordinator, there are few things more satisfying than witnessing the bride's months of meticulous planning come to fruition in a celebration of love, fun, and unforgettable moments. This past weekend's wedding between Jamie and Ryan was a special event that will certainly be etched into the hearts of all that attended. If the spirit of their special relationship didn't linger with you, then certainly the memory of pink boxers with the newlywed's faces on them will!

Upon meeting Jamie over a year ago, I knew her wedding to Ryan was going to be a unique occasion filled with many personal touches. Her clear and distinct vision, along with their sprinkle of humor, was going to create an intimate, yet highly exclusive experience for the two of them and their loved ones.

The ceremony took place at Breckenridge Barn on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Quite the hike for the bride and grooms' families, but well worth the trip. The bride's vision and attention to detail fit the space seamlessly, even if few of the outdoor "fun and games" found their way inside due to Mother Nature. Jamie walked down the aisle, beautifully appointed with elegant rose florals by Sol and Bloom from Middletown, towards Ryan and their closest friends and family, and the silent star of the day, Maximiliano, their ring security guard! The ceremony, and their vows, were unified with a root beer float and the promise of their lives, topped off by a heartfelt performance by groomsman Amos Green.

The bridal party was challenged to a contest of "grand entrances" performed by friend pairings and tunes that were a prelude to the celebration of the newlyweds that was about to begin! The DJ had his work cut out to top the good time bar set by this crew. Thankfully, Booked By Blaze brought the spark to the dance floor for the celebration, once the caterer tempted the taste buds of everyone with dishes known on the shore...crabcakes, brisket, mac and cheese...OH MY! Local chef favorite, Jamie Petrides and his staff never disappoint. I haven't even mentioned the coveted cupcakes, wedding cake with the caricature topper capturing the new Gentry family to a tee, all the way down to the customized Nike Dunks, truffles, cookies, root beer floats, and sundaes from Ben and Jerry's, all on site and ready to satisfy guests' sweet tooth on a break from the dance floor.

The most memorable aspects of this wedding were all the personal touches that Ryan and Jamie so thoughtfully incorporated. They had flip flops handy to heal those sore dancing feet, homemade dog treats for four legged guests that could make the trip from Max himself, a crossword puzzle of inside intel only a few could solve, and the showstopper that caught everyone's eye; the onsite live painter, Spencer Grace, that captured the love and relationship these two have cultivated over their years together! Wanted to "cheer" the new bride and groom...A Shucking Good Time had just what you needed, compliments of Max, again! I told you he was a celebrity to be reckoned with!

All of the events expertly captured by Weddings by Lee (with all credits for the pictures included) as well as Holland Videographers.

You two certainly have a SPARK!
